Academies & professional education · Technical qualifications
Understand the formula. Calculate with confidence.
Add AI learning support to your technical courses that works with your own course notes and tables. For questions after work and feedback on every step of the calculation.
In technical qualifications, every module builds on the basics of the first months. Many participants study after their shift. Anyone who gets stuck on a unit or a table value calculates cleanly from there and is off by a factor of a thousand.
An evening with the course notes
Industrial master · Module 3 Machining
Example
A study evening in four moments: at 6:30 pm the cutting speed formula in the notes is clear. At 7:20 pm the unit does not fit in the practice case. At 7:50 pm a general chatbot answers without checking units. At 8:05 pm the question is put off until the next class block.

Module 3, turning. The formula is clear.

Stuck on the practice case
Their own result is a thousand times too large. The solution only gives the value.
d = 40 mm, n = 1,200?Unitvc ≈ 150.8 m/min
Question to a general chatbot
The answer shows its working, but with the diameter in millimetres.
v = π × d × n = 3.14 × 40 × 1,200 = 150,720. So the cutting speed is about 150,720 m/min …
No source · no unit check
Question put off until class
Until then the mistake goes unnoticed. The spindle speed calculation in the next chapter builds on it.
Example study evening in a master craftsperson course.
Small mistakes, big effects.
A wrong unit or table value carries through every further calculation.
The exam asks for the working.
In situational tasks and the oral exam, every step has to be traceable and technically justified.
General AI does not know your notes.
It calculates without your table values, without a source and without checking units.
In the course
At 7:50 pm, your course notes
now have the answer.
The AI tutor explains the missing step with your course notes as the source. A free-text exercise then checks formula, units and result one by one, and flashcards keep formulas and terms fresh until the exam.

3.4 Cutting speed in turning
Cutting speed is the speed at which the cutting edge moves relative to the workpiece. It depends on the workpiece diameter and the spindle speed.
The diameter is entered in metres so that the cutting speed comes out in m/min.
A shaft with a diameter of 40 mm is turned at a spindle speed of 1,200 min⁻¹. Determine the cutting speed.
vc = π × d × n
Diameter d
40 mm = 0.04 m
Spindle speed n
1,200 min⁻¹

Cutting speed
Why do I convert the diameter to metres?
Cutting speed is given in metres per minute, spindle speed in revolutions per minute. For the units to match, the diameter goes in as metres: 40 mm is 0.04 m.
π × 0.04 m × 1,200 min⁻¹ ≈ 150.8 m/min
Using 40 mm instead of 0.04 m makes the result a thousand times too large.

Getting started
Start with
one module.
Choose a module with clear fundamentals. We set it up with your teaching team, a first group learns with it, and you decide on the next modules based on how it is used.
Course notes, table extracts, exercises with worked solutions and your assessment criteria form the basis.
Your teaching team reviews explanations and feedback, sets the AI guidelines and releases the module.
After the first weeks you see which topics the group struggles with and plan the next modules.
