Practice and grading like the real exam

Students build their own exams

Through templates, students choose topics and level without having to set taxonomy levels themselves. Upload a past exam and acemate mirrors its structure, format and difficulty to generate fresh questions on other content. In pilot courses, most practice tests end up student-made, often at higher cognitive levels than expected.

You shape how the AI grades

Instructors set criteria, expected answers and weighting per task, and the AI grades exactly along them, criterion by criterion with feedback on each point. Model answers can be rewritten, so the feedback matches what the course actually asks for.

Frequently asked questions

What are the generated tasks based on?

The tasks are generated from the materials in the classroom. Before generation you can select individual lectures, documents or topics, and each section can draw on its own documents.

How are free-text answers graded?

The AI assesses free-text answers on content against a model response and assigns a score. The feedback shows what worked, where there is room to improve and which content is still missing.

What happens after a practice test?

After the last question, the score, accuracy and topic progress appear. A test can be attempted again, and flashcards can be created directly from the questions worked on.
